Dr. Mark Douglas
I graduated Dental School from the University of Toronto in 1991 with Honours. Following Dental School, I was selected to participate in an internship program at Toronto General Hospital. One year later, I joined a private practice in Etobicoke.
After 30+ years in dentistry, I continue to have a strong passion for the profession. For the last 20 years, I have been involved with the planning and presentation of advanced continuing education courses for dentists. I have also been honored with the invitation to present an occasional lecture in front of some of these distinguished colleagues. I still remain active with many of these academies and have published articles both nationally and internationally.
I am a perfectionist and very proud of everything that I do. I will listen to your concerns and aspire to gain your confidence through compassion and caring, but with meticulous attention to detail while prioritizing your comfort. I am aware that the preservation of tooth structure should be the top priority of any dental professional. We will explore all options to save teeth and natural tooth structure wherever possible, utilizing advanced techniques in preventive care and minimal tooth preparation.
The relationship between a dentist and their patient is one that should be built upon mutual respect and trust. Building such a rapport can only be achieved using a patient-centred approach. To that end, I will show and clearly explain any problems that you may have with your oral health, present treatment options, and listen to your concerns. Together, we will work to plan your treatment in a manner that is best for you.
When not working hard, I like to play hard. I enjoy skiing, cycling, photography, and spending time with my wife and family.
